I am a passionate and dedicated oceanographer, meteorologist, and climate researcher with a strong academic foundation and hands-on experience in marine science, meteorology, and environmental research. Having earned my Bachelor’s degree in Oceanography from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University, I have honed my expertise in fields like hydrography, environmental impact assessment, and marine mammal observation. My journey has allowed me to work on field research, data collection, and analysis, fostering a deep understanding of ocean and atmospheric sciences.
Currently, I serve as a Meteorologist and Communication Manager at the Bangladesh Weather Observation Team (BWOT), where I monitor meteorological conditions and manage communication with international agencies. My volunteer role has also involved preparing weather forecasts and contributing to global collaborations aimed at enhancing weather-related knowledge and awareness. I am committed to building community resilience and providing critical data during emergencies.
I have also had the privilege of participating in international research projects, such as the SDG200 course onboard the Norwegian vessel Statsraad Lehmkuhl, where I studied ocean and climate dynamics across the Pacific, focusing on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. My technical skill set includes proficiency in GIS, MATLAB, Python, and various meteorological software tools. Alongside my scientific expertise, I have developed strong leadership, communication, and public engagement abilities, further enriched by my roles as an International Student Ambassador for the American Meteorological Society and a Global Talent Program participant.
Driven by my passion for advancing knowledge in oceanography and meteorology, I aim to contribute to sustainable solutions for climate challenges and foster international collaboration in the field.
