September 1 is the day shark nets get deployed along the NSW coast. These nets kill thousands of harmless marine animals each year. Australia is one of a handful of countries that use early 1900s technology for beach safety. With the new monitoring methods that currently exist, along with increased personal awareness of beach safety, the time for these antiquated death traps is over.
Join the Nets Out Now coalition for a rally in Cronulla to show your support for removing the nets and conserving our precious marine life.
