Meet the Kaitiaki team!

Kaitiaki Co. is a group of secondary school students that have a huge passion for marine conservation and preserving Aotearoa’s environment on and off land. All of the original team were involved in the Ocean Youth Auckland’s program led by Emma Ferguson @ SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton’s Aquarium.

As part of the program Ocean Youth participants come up with an initiative that would benefit the environment. So then…Kaitiaki was born!

Kaitiaki’s mission is to make a difference and inspire others to influence change for many issues facing our environment today. Kaitiaki Co. sells reusable coffee cups to raise funds for another awesome kiwi youth-run initiative – Project Blue, and share their knowledge and tips through blog posts and videos to help us all look after our planet and Aotearoa for future generations.

The Kaitiaki Co. team will be speaking at our upcoming Ocean Youth Virtual Summit. Be sure to register for this FREE event to get inspired by young people influencing positive action for our oceans.
