New Ocean Youth chapter starting in Dunedin!

We’re so excited to announce that the New Zealand Marine Studies Centre at the University of Otago in Dunedin, NZ will be piloting the Ocean Youth program over the summer holidays 2020/21!

The program will be an intensive, summer holiday program targeted at high school-aged students who want to learn more about their local marine environment and what they can do to protect and conserve it. With a wild, biodiverse marine environment right on their doorstep, full of seals, whales, penguins and so much more, the site is perfectly placed for the Ocean Youth program, which aims to build the capacity of young leaders and change-makers to influence positive action for oceans.

Participants will also have access to a range of industry professionals, from researchers to wildlife carers, to learn about careers and other initiatives they can get involved with.

If you’re in the Otago region of NZ and are keen to find out more you can apply online here.
