Ocean Youth Workshop was just incredible!

Hollie, an Ocean Youth Sunshine Coast 2021 Ambassador describes her experience from the most recent workshop.
‘Ocean Youth Workshop 4 was just incredible! We went out on a boat with Sunreef and saw plenty of wild whales, which was absolutely breathtaking. Seeing the whales in their natural habitat was such an amazing experience. Along with whales we saw plenty of little jellyfish, a turtle and a pod of dolphins. After the boat trip we headed to SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast to watch the Seal Presentation. This is where we learned about different types of seals, and how they train behaviours with positive reinforcement.
After the show we got our photo taken with Nelson the Sub Antarctic Fur Seal and got to chat to a Seal Trainer. During the chat we learned about different career options with the ocean animals such as Seal Trainer, Marine Biologist etc. I would recommend Ocean Youth to any teens who love the ocean and want to get more involved.’
