OY Melbourne Pitchfest 2020!

The Ocean Youth Melbourne team recently held its annual pitchfest. This is where participants pitch their ideas to turn the tide on ocean health. Although we were still Zooming, the passion and professionalism displayed by our OY Ambassadors as they presented their inspiring ideas were off the charts. To say we were blown away was an understatement.

Manufacturing aquarium equipment from 3D printed recycled plastic, creating a one-stop ocean information shop, education of PCB impacts on marine mammals using street art, and fundraising and awareness-raising through gaming are some of the ideas pitched.

We want to thank our OY Melbourne team – staff, participants, their families and teachers, for their support and commitment to healthy oceans. With future leaders like these, we’re in good hands!

You can check out all the pitches on our Youtube channel here.
